Parents, meet Joy Ratima, the Australian mother who is going to save you countless amounts of money.
In case you missed it, this resourceful mummy cracked the code on how to make DIY, all natural baby wipes from home!
Joy was concerned with the chemicals and additives of baby wipes and decided she would remedy her concerns by making her very own organic baby wipes. Better yet, she shared her awesome mummy hack with the world when uploaded the DIY video to her Facebook account.
It seems like it would be a rather difficult process, but Ratima explains all the steps in a simple and explanatory fashion.
Before you get started, you’ll need these surprisingly basic ingredients:
- A roll of paper towels
- 2 Medium to Large tupperware containers (or jars)
- Natural body wash
- Coconut Oil
- Boiling water
Now you can get started!
The first thing you’ll need to do is cut a roll of paper towels in half.
Next, you’ll place each half of the rolls into tupperware containers.
Now you can mix roughly a teaspoon of coconut oil, an appropriate amount of natural body wash, and boiling water into a cup, and mix accordingly.
Finally, you can pour the whole cup of the mixture into one of the tupperware containers. Repeat the entire process for the second tupperware.
There you have it, parents. A great DIY project that will save you tons of money and protect your baby from questionable chemicals found in store-bought baby wipes.

I make my own baby wipes – did you know that they have a huge list of chemicals in them (and we use them to clean our precious baby bums)I find this the best recipe and way to do them personally.I have had heaps of people ask me to show them how to make them the way I do and although I felt like an egg filming this ???? (although my big boy thought I was good, bless his heart ❤️) and I didn’t really want to put it up here I thought I would so hopefully others can do the same ???? Takes less than 5 mins to do and is cheaper than buying wipes too.Edited to add…Lots of people have asked the exact ingredients, it’s a basic decor tellfresh container, viva papertowels, coconut oil and biologika body wash (this is one of the more natural ones I’ve found)I’ve created a FB page – Mama Joy at Home where I plan on sharing other things that I find help me. Head over and like it and view the video there.
