Ask the psychiatrist a questionBio of Dr Munidasa Winslow, Psychiatrist

Dr Munidasa Winslow is a Psychiatrist, specialized in mental health and addiction treatment. He comes with 30 years of experience in the field. Dr Winslow graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and  Surgery in 1984, and earned his Master of Medicine in Psychiatry in 1992.
Prior to setting up his private practice, The Winslow Clinic at Novena Medical Centre, Dr Winslow worked in general psychiatry and addiction
medicine at Institute of Mental Health(IMH) since 1988.

He was one of the pioneers responsible for the setting up and development of addiction services both in the hospital and in the community. His last appointment at IMH was as Chief of the Addiction Medicine Department.

Dr Winslow has been a pioneer in addiction and impulse control disorders, for conditions such as alcohol, substance dependence, gambling, gaming, and sexual compulsivity behaviour. His deep experience in the field of addiction has led him to being a well sought after speaker at addiction conferences around the Asia-Pacific region.

With a deep passion to help therapists develop and hone their skills to effect real change in patients, he founded Promises Pte Ltd, a mental health & addictions consulting and training company established to help healthcare professionals and individuals in Singapore. Despite being a fully qualified psychiatrist, Dr Winslow has also further developed his therapy and counseling skills by receiving accreditation as a certified master addiction counselor and a certified clinical supervisor.

Dr Winslow is an active contributor to the academia field, with numerous publications and presentations on both general psychological and addiction
issues. He also continues to pursue his academic and research interest through his academic appointments with National University Health System(NUHS).
