From the the internationally acclaimed creators of Peter Pan, The Never Ending Story comes Cinderella, A Fairly True Story.
In this re-telling, the timeless classic gets a contemporary twist in the form of an inquisitive and sceptical news reporter, who inspires Cinderella to reject magical interventions. Instead, he encourages her to face up to her responsibilities and take control of her own destiny.
However, all the classic elements of the fairy tale still remain intact (so don’t worry, the little ones will be able to follow the story easily). It is in essence, still the story of the orphan girl forced by circumstances to live with her terrible stepmother and two step sisters and her struggles to overcome it all.
The ball, the pumpkin transformation, the gorgeous dress, the iconic glass slipper, the prince — are all very much part of this production.
A collaboration between Music Hall from Belgium and Resorts World Sentosa, Cinderella, A Fairly True Story has been adapted from a previous version staged in Europe in 2013, titled Assepoester, Het Tamelijk Ware Verhaal.
The Asian premiere of the production features an international cast, and promises to take the audience on an enchanting journey with its high-tech scene projections and spectacular visual effects.
