Sometimes it’s important to know what your kids are watching on TV and whether or not it is suitable for them. Some shows provide entertainment as well as learning, whereas other shows provide neither. South Park is an American cartoon. it's a comedy about four boys and their adventures of living in the small town of South Park. South Park is known for its sarcastic humour, celebrity parodies and its bad language. These things are definitely not suitable for a child, thus making it number one on our list of worst cartoons for kids.

2. Dora the Explorer

Although Dora the Explorer may seem cute and educational from the outside, there are several reasons why this cartoon can have a bad influence on kids. Some of those include: The fact that Dora roams around without parental supervision, (some say) she shows an inappropriate amount of skin, and she teaches poor memorization skills. These are only a few of the reasons why Dora the Explorer can be considered as one of the worst cartoons for kids.

3. Power Rangers

Power Rangers is a popular cartoon! it has been around for several years. However, the show's quality has changed for the worse as the years have gone by. Several parents feel that the violent nature of the cartoon is inappropriate for kids to watch.

4. The Simpsons

Simpsons is a cartoon that has been around for a number of years. Although this cartoon is seemingly child friendly, with a mother, father and three kids leading a busy lifestyle, they address topics that are too mature for kids. Some people believe that topics such as, sex and religion are a focus in this cartoon, and this is what makes it one of the worst cartoons for kids to watch.

5. Family Guy

Family Guy is about the Griffin family and the adventures and problems they face together. Although the show is considered to be funny, it's not the kind of humour that is appropriate for kids. Many people believe that the cartoon discusses politics, race, and can sometimes shed light on religion negatively. Not to mention, they have vulgar scenes and the language is offensive. In my personal opinion, this cartoon is one of the worst cartoons for kids to watch.

6. Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!

This cartoon is designed to convey cute messages about self-awareness, sharing and responsibility. This cartoon tries very hard to teach kids social skills, however it is thought to be annoying and un-educational. The story lines aren't strong enough, and because of this, the cartoon appears to be a bunch of whimsical characters bouncing around.

7. Little Bill

This cartoon is based on the Little Bill books written by Bill Cosby. The concept is similar to that of The Cosby Show, except for the fact that it's animated. It's about a polite child named Bill and his family. The show is sweet and friendly, however it has been done before, and it gets boring and repetitive. Little Bill is always whining about something, and this doesn't send out a good message to kids.

8. Max and Ruby

Max and Ruby are a brother and sister with opposite personalities. Max doesn't like to talk, so his sister, Ruby, puts up with it. Max is always getting into mischief, and Ruby cleans up after him. The cycle continues, as every episode goes by. This sends out a horrible message to kids saying that they can get away with anything and everything, making it one of the worst cartoons for kids.

9. Catdog

Catdog, is a show about a conjoined cat and dog, and the struggles they face due to their situation. Catdog are always running around town, and somehow their body has the ability to stretch out and entangle in various objects. It's painful to watch more than anything, and the humour doesn't make up for this.

10. Recess

This show's characters consist of a principal, teacher, and six kids who portray stereotypical kids at school. One is the leader, one is a bully, a jock, a nerd, a drama king, and a wimp. This may sound like a great cast, but the stereotypical characters send out a message implying that they need to define themselves by one of these characters.
