When exactly does pregnancy happen? Does it happen as soon as fertilization occurs? Or does it occur several days after fertilization when the developing pre-embryo is attached to a woman and gets nutrients from her.

    There is no such thing as a pre-embryo.

    In Singapore we do embryonic stem cell research on embryos which are less than 14 days old.
