Your Guide to Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon

Here's a little guide for you to getting started on preparing your mind for this year's Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2010.

The largest and most established race in this region is back for the eighth year. The Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2010.

Organised by the Singapore Sports Council (SSC) and the Singapore Athletic Association (SAA), the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore has been held annually and is a key highlight in Singapore’s calender of established international running events.

This year, around 60,000 runners will make this the largest local marathon in Singapore.

Want to be part of it? Here is some information to get you started.

Depending on which category a participant signs up for, participants this year will start at different points.

The scenic view during the marathon is something that participants can look forward to. It is all part of the master plan for the makeover that the Marathon Singapore 2010 route will be getting this year.

Runners from all categories will go through scenic routes that take in the country’s major sights.

The Marathon is scheduled for Dec. 5 2010 ( Sunday), from 5.00 a.m. onwards for those who sign up for the full marathon. The Padang will be the end point for the marathon.
