A 41 year old woman and 5 year old boy have been found dead near Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. Police investigations are ongoing.

A 41-year-old woman and a 5-year-old boy—both believed to be Japanese—were found dead at 21 Lorong Sesuai near Bukit Timah Nature Reserve on Thursday, 14 November 2019.

Singapore police said they were alerted to the scene at 6.42 am.

Woman and 5-year-old were found dead

According to Chinese-language newspaper Shin Min Daily News, the police searched the area for close to six hours.

They found the boy’s body in a car while the woman was found lying motionless nearby.

Lianhe Zaobao reported that the woman is the mother of the child. 

The local newspaper also reported that the incident occurred at a restricted area which has a road marked with a “No Entry” sign. 

The case has been classified as unnatural. 

Police investigations are ongoing.
