Why your kid shouldn’t be watching Bigg Boss

14 Oct, 2015

It's that time of the year again when your tabloids and the otherwise boring facebook feeds will keep you hooked. With the return of Bigg Boss season 9 on Colors TV, however, it is also the time for you to monitor your little one's interests.

Because, besides the beautifully looking people in the larger-than-life house for at least four months now, there will flying abuses, people getting violent at the drop of a hat, make-ups and break-ups, backbiting and more.

So while this drama keeps you glued, there is some food for thought. Where is your little one while you are indulging in unnecessary brickbat and scorn? If you could never put a thought to it, it’s time to take note.

Your favourite masaledaar primetime show might be giving you some amazing hours, but at the same time, it might be having a negative effect on your little one’s personality—he might be observing and absorbing more than you could think of.

We bring to you five reasons why your child should not be watching Bigg Boss’s current season.

Unnecessary verbal abuse

Unnecessary verbal abuse

So we all get angry. But abusing and swearing in anger is something you definitely don't want your little one to learn. And most inmates are good at it.
Too much of vulgarity and skimpily clad people

And you thought being trendy is all about wearing nice and plush clothes; the contestants here will change your definition. For them, it's being vulgar and obscene, indulging in infidelity, be skimpily clad or just being clingy.

Now when your little one puts up an uncomfortable question tomorrow, don't blame that we didn't warn you.

Over the top violence

All this while, you have been sacrificing on watching your favourite action movie. Why? Just because your little one doesn't learn anything bad?

Well, your purpose and sacrifice almost goes down the drain if he is a Bigg Boss fan. Why? Since we feel there's a prerequisite to qualify as an inmate—be very very short-tempered and violent.

Excessive lying and backlashing

Excessive lying and backlashing

Let's agree, all of us lie to save our lives and if kids do so, there's no harm. However, we don't want to teach them how to lie since that is something we all pick up as we grow old.

And serving them a tutorial on how and when to lie is definitely not be your growing up plan for them.

Breeding unhealthy competition

Aspirations are good but till the time you are positive. We all want our kids to win, not manipulate, respect others and not downsize them, appreciate and not condemn in jealousy, desire and not get greedy.

Do our inmate also believe so?
