At Exquisite Playskool, every child is seen, heard, and celebrated — and it all started with a simple dream.
Coming from a middle-class family and facing struggles during her early years, founder and principal Mrs. Jayanthi Singh inherited a “deep sense of strength and perseverance — qualities that have become invaluable in shaping both my personal journey and my mission for Exquisite Playskool.”
Mrs. Singh’s passion for education was ignited during her time in Australia, where she experienced a childcare system that seamlessly wove learning and play together. Inspired by what she saw, she graduated in 2006 with a degree in Early Childhood and Family Services, returning to Singapore determined to bring that same enriching environment to life.
“Exquisite Playskool was born from a passion for learning through play — a vision inspired by firsthand experiences in Australia’s childcare system, where education and play seamlessly intertwine,” she shares.
With just a dream and three eager students, Exquisite Playskool opened its doors. There were no advertisements, no grand promotions — only word of mouth and a heartfelt commitment to building “a space where children of all backgrounds could learn, play, and thrive.”
Since its official start in 2014, Exquisite Playskool has been proudly offering playgroup and enrichment classes, first in the heart of Punggol. In 2025, the centre relocated to Sengkang, continuing its mission to serve families with the same warmth, passion, and commitment to excellence.
As parents saw the positive impact on their little ones, Exquisite Playskool’s community grew organically into a trusted, beloved haven for early learners.
At the heart of Exquisite Playskool is a firm belief that “every child deserves meaningful exposure to diverse learning experiences, fostering a world where differences are embraced and celebrated.” That’s why inclusion classes have always been an integral part of the programs, ensuring that children of all abilities learn, grow, and explore together in a nurturing environment.
Through challenges big and small — including the COVID-19 pandemic — Exquisite Playskool’s mission has never wavered. Mrs. Singh credits the “incredible community of parents” for their unwavering support, encouragement, and trust during uncertain times.
Today, Exquisite Playskool continues to go beyond traditional education methods by focusing on interactive, hands-on experiences that foster creativity, social skills, and cognitive growth. Playgroups and enrichment programs span a variety of interests, from arts to music, all designed to keep little minds engaged and hearts happy.
