#1 Tanjong Pagar Railway Station Open House
As always, the Tanjong Pagar Railway Station opens its doors to the public almost every public holiday. This iconic and photogenic location has seen families, photographers or just people looking to take a good photo swarming its area as soon as it opens its doors. However, this National Day happens to be the last time the public will have a chance to admire this gorgeous railway station before it opens its doors again in 2025. So don’t miss this chance!

#2 GetActive! by the Bay
The inaugural nation run consists of fun and games that brings people from all over the country together on to celebrate Singapore’s 51st year of independence. Happening at Marina Barrage, activities and games such as the Jalan Jalan 5km Casual Family Run and the Carnival would guarantee fun for the whole family. There is also the record breaking segment where participants will attend to set a national record of the most number of participants running with a Singapore flag.

#3 Science Centre Singapore
This National Day, The Science Centre Singapore will be celebrating the nation’s 51st year of independence by welcoming visitors for FREE for the whole day! This promotion will be available for Singaporeans and PRs only. Admissions to certain exhibitions will apply.

#4 National Museum of Singapore Open House
The National Museum of Singapore will be holding an open house to celebrate the nation’s birthday this National Day and has a whole bunch of games and activities planned for the whole family. All their galleries will be available free of charge and the whole family can have fun with the multitude of activities such as balloon sculpting, craft activities as well as a build-a-toy activity!

#5 Soak Out Water Party at Universal Studios Singapore
This National Day, head on down to the Universal Studios Singapore for their all new Soak Out Water Party this National Day. The party goes on from 13 June to 10 Aug and familiar friends such as the minions and friends from Sesame Street will also be attending the party. The event will consists of different wet zones located around the park where visitors can have a splashing good time with catchy music playing in the background. There will also be an after-party happening on selected Friday and Saturday nights where tunes from DJ Inquisitive and the Good Karma band will be available.

#6 51% off Admission at Zoo, River Safari & Jurong Bird Park
Three of Singapore’s wildlife parks will be giving 51% off their admission tickets for the whole of August 2016 in celebration of Singapore’s 51st year of Independence. There will also be a retro kampong-styled feast of delectable street food available. The 51% discount will also be available for the bundled package of Singapore Zoo and River Safari as well.
