Flavourful Celebration with AMK Hub!

National Day celebration continues at Singapore’s favourite heartland mall – AMK Hub! Until 13 August 2017, shoppers can look forward to a satisfying time at the Durian Feast Party, have an indulgent shopping spree and enjoy a series of privileges and rewards.

The Durian Feast Party is happening at Level 1, Main Entrance, from 5pm to 10pm, daily.

Katong Square Lifestyle & Vintage Market

The monthly flea market at Katong Square is doing a National Day special this Aug. To celebrate SG52, there will be a table with all items at 52 percent off marked prices!

On top of that, expect the usual vintage offerings at this flea market—vinyl records, vintage jewellery and watches, haute couture and more; as well as charity and casual booths selling second-hand wares. Resident booths include The Retro Factory, Vinyl Kakis and Karang Unique.

Singapore Really Really Free Market 50

The Singapore Really Really Free Market is a temporary market based on the concept of giving to people in need, and reducing waste; sharing resources, caring for one another and improving the collective lives of all.

Everything is FREE! Expect to see plenty of stuff – books, CDs, toys, food, etc- skills like tarot card reading, hair cutting, poetry writing and singing will be on display too!

Where: Maplewood Park, HDB Lorong Ah Soo, Block 138, Lorong Ah Soo, Singapore 530138

When: Aug 13, Sunday at 2 PM – 6 PM

Play as One Nation @Kidzania Singapore

This August, KidZania Singapore will be offering National Day themed activities for kids at the realistic kid-sized city from 1-13 August. The adults-only Back-to-Kidz event will return too!

There’s also 52% off second kid ticket till end of August.

Throughout the month, visitors will also get to enjoy great value discounts on both KidZania Singapore admission tickets as well as its B.KidZanian membership.

RWS Street Eats and other aRWSome Celebrations @Resorts World Sentosa

The first-ever RWS Street Eats starts on National Day weekend! From 12 to 20 August, this specially curated event will see the popular Malaysian Food Street transformed into a haven of Southeast Asian street food delicacies.

Famous overseas cooks from Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam will be flown in to strut their most authentic signatures such as Indonesian Ayam Penyet, Vietnamese Grilled Pork with Rice Noodles, Thai Fried Chicken and aromatic Malaysian Curry Chicken.

KOOZA by Cirque Du Soleil

Catch KOOZA, an awe-inspiring production by Cirque du Soleil, on until 27 August.

The name KOOZA is inspired by the Sanskrit word “Koza” which means “box”, “chest”, or “treasure” and emerging from this magical box is an international cast of 50 acrobats, musicians, singers and actors from 19 different countries performing physically astonishing feats and laugh-out-loud antics to a live soundtrack fusion of jazz, funk and Bollywood beats.

From 14 July to 27 August, immerse in a So Singapore experience at Sentosa where a slew of exciting free day and night programmes and activities is set to give locals and tourists a truly Singaporean adventure in celebration of the Nation’s 52ndBirthday!

  • Merlion Magic Lights!

Apart from the theme of patriotism, the ever-popular light and music extravaganza now comes with an added technological feature that allows guests to experience augmented reality effects while watching the show through smartphones. Just download the free marq+ App, available on both App Store (iOS) and Android Play Store.

Time: Weekdays: 7.45pm to 9.15pm (30-minute show intervals)

  • Artisans’ Bazaar: Interesting curios and handmade crafts

Shop for a delightful array of vintage goods and handmade collectibles at this crafts fair, where you can pick up gifts like Handmade Zen figurines, Grandfather Clocks, Dreamcatchers, Recycled Tins with Functional lights, Hand Wax Modeling and Handmade Miniature Clay Dollhouses.

  • Sounds of the Lion City

    A string of free Saturday performances based on the four ethnic groups in Singapore, guests will get to experience a myriad of activities including; traditional Face-changing (Biàn Liǎn), Wushu performance, Peranakan folk songs, classic Indian songs, and even an East-meets-West fusion music that brings together the Erhu with the likes of a music keyboard, and more.

     Date: Every Saturday from 15 July to 26 August 2017
