Can’t-afford-to-miss Christmas treats!

'Tis the season to be jolly! The food lovers that we are in Singapore, we are sure to celebrate any occasion we have with food. To help fellow gastronomes, we put have together a list of can’t-afford-to-miss Christmas treats.

Roast Turkey

If you want to make something spectacular for the holidays, a homemade herb roasted turkey with stuffing and some cranberry sauce fits the bill. Not forgetting the sides that go with it, like really good roasted potatoes, brussel sprouts with caramelized onions or a green bean casserole. Delish!

Honey Roasted Ham

How can you skip the honey roasted ham with pineapple glaze on Christmas. And the best part, you can make any leftovers feel brand new the next day. Perfect for when you have no energy the day after. Scour the net for loads of brilliant recipes.

Christmas Fruit Cake

A Christmas fruit cake is a traditional favorite that embodies everything about the festive season. It might be a little late to make it from scratch now, but store bought ones will be just as good.

Log Cake

Nothing screams "Christmas" more than log cakes. There are a lot of variety available these days, from the traditional chocolate fudge to the more tropical sounding mango pudding log cake.

Cheese Platter

Heighten the holiday mood with a cheese platter of sorts. Source for a variety of cheeses from gourmet stores, add some dry fruits and crackers as palate cleansers, and you’re good to go.

Most importantly, any celebration will be incomplete without good company, no matter a simple sit-down dinner with your nearest and dearest, or an elegant themed open house with many guests.
