Summary:
Snugly located between the towering buildings of the Central Business District and the familiarity of Chinatown, The Sensory Suite is a new spa offering a comforting answer to your pampering needs. While small and cosy, the independent spa has a menu that boasts some interesting and tantalising treats.
A must-try at The Sensory Suite is their Volcanic Mineral Face Spa, a two-hour treatment that felt like five hours of hydrating and rejuvenating luxury to your face. It heals, moisturises and balances the skin with lava stones from Mount Etna in Italy. The treatment utilises five stones specially produced in different shapes for each part of your face, and the lava-rich volcano stones laden with minerals are believed to be excellent conductors of energy which help balance the deficiencies in your body. The experience is one quite unlike any other, and the skin is visibly firmer and smoother after just one treatment.
And while we are quick to feed our face with such treats, the body, which requires just as much care, is often neglected. Try Sensory Suite’s two-hour Rice Body Spa, an aromatic experience that will leave your skin silken smooth – you will now be the envy of your baby. Rice is known to be beneficial for the skin with its elasticising and nutritive properties, and with the use of a cleansing body milk, rice scrub and warm rice body pack, the Asian food staple becomes excellent food for your skin – literally.
What we liked best:
1) Our skin felt smooth for days after, as promised. We’re booking our next appointment soon.
2) The personalised treatment from the masseuse and staff. They were patient to explain which treatments work best for your skin type, and advise how to best take care of your skin.
3) Both treatments lasted for 2 hours each, which means 4 hours of pampering at the spa. Can life get any better?
What we didn’t like:
1) The spa is small. And while that makes it intimate and cosy, appointments are necessary.
2) The spa is closed on Sundays and public holidays.
Our Verdict:
We give it 4.5/5 stars. Excellent treatments, friendly staff and a glowing skin make us very happy!
