#1 Your mum who knows everything!

From bathing the baby, to swaddling her tightly - your mum is the one who has experienced it first hand when raising you! So listen to her advice, and remember she's right... 80% of the time.

#2 Your neighbour who makes the tastiest soups for you

And this is exactly what you'll be needing right now. Somehow they taste way better than the confinement soups you're being fed. Plus, they're just as nutritious. Score!

#3 Your friends on Instagram

They keep you sane during those breastfeeding hours. When looking through their beautiful pictures, liking them, commenting – you'll still feel connected to the outside world.

It's even a plus point if most of your friends have kids themselves. Since you're new to parenting, you can legally 'stalk' their Instagram pictures- sometimes just to laugh at their parenting fails too.

#4 Your confinement nanny – who is amazing

She cooks for you, feeds the baby, cleans your baby's poop (YAY!), washes all of your clothes and the little one's too. She is your lifesaver at a crazy time like this. And you want her there, forever!

#5 The random strangers you meet under your HDB block

While taking a stroll with your new bub, they call your baby 'cute', say you look 'totally like you're back in shape'. They tell you funny stories about their kids; giving you great advice while they're at it. Keep going, guys!

#6 The patient nurses who help you put baby to breast

God-sent! The nurses at the hospital who teach you how to breastfeed, and help you if you fail, or are struggling with it... over and over again. You NEED them, and you LOVE them. They help keep your frustrations at bay, every step of the way till you walk out the door.

Yes, her! Because she's the Goddess of parenting, isn't she? She makes this whole parenting thing look like a total breeze. So you HAVE to love her!

#8 The father of your baby

Ahh... The most important person to love after all of this. He is the real reason you had to push out a 3kg human being out of your body.

He is your pillar of strength, your punching bag, your helper in EVERY way. He gives you strength when it feels like all hope's lost. He will stand by your side – so love him like you've never loved him before.
