Life can be really interesting, especially for this teen who met flight attendants when he was four and reunited again after 13 years. On our regular flights, the interaction of the SIA stewardess is limited to ordering meals or asking where your seat is.
However, not for this 17-year-old named Dominick O’Donnell when he was four years old, as he encountered something more extraordinary.
When Dominick and his family migrated from London to Singapore in 2010, they boarded SQ321, where he met two Singapore Airlines (SIA) flight attendants who would later be called “childhood heroes.”
In a viral TikTok video, Dominick reminisced about the time when he met Sandy and Alice, the SIA flight attendants, and shared a cute short story about his encounter.
His 4-year-old self received a lot of attention from the SIA stewardess, and actually goofed around with him. Dominick considered his encounter with them as part of his core memory.
He also said that they made him “a very happy boy” and even gifted him a handwritten birthday card.
Meeting again from a flight
The O’Donnell family didn’t exchange contact with the flight attendants. Hence, Dominick was left with scattered memories from his 4-year-old self.
Six years later, the O’Donnell family met the other flight attendant, Sandy, when they flew back to London for a vacation in 2016.
Sandy was working on the same flight and recognised Dominick’s father.
The reunion was delightful; she showed Dominick some photos she had taken during their first meeting.
After that, the family and Sanday stayed in contact.
Meeting again in Australia
In 2022, the O’Donnell family flew to Australia to visit their relatives, and they met again with Sandy.
Through an Instagram Story, Sandy saw the family was in Perth from Dominick’s account, and so Sandy messaged him saying that she had a flight there at the same time.
Naturally, they had to meet this time as well.
