From Mom to Fashionista: How to Regain Your Style After Becoming a Mum

3 min read

Becoming a mum is a life-changing experience that brings joy, love, and responsibilities. Seeing your little one grow up is a wonderful feeling, but it can be challenging to manage time for yourself. Remembering your style and fashion is natural with the new routine and schedule.

However, being a mum doesn’t mean you must compromise on your fashion sense. In this article, we will discuss some tips to help you get back on track to being a stylish mum.

  • Identify your style

The first step to being a stylish mum is to identify your style. You may have lost touch with your fashion sense after becoming a mum, but that doesn’t mean it’s gone forever. Take some time to explore your likes and dislikes and figure out what suits you the best. You can take inspiration from fashion magazines, social media, or even your favourite celebrities.

  • Upgrade your wardrobe

Once you have identified your style, it’s time to upgrade your wardrobe. You don’t have to buy a whole new wardrobe, but adding trendy pieces to your existing wardrobe can make a huge difference. Invest in some versatile pieces that can be dressed up or down, like a good pair of jeans, a blazer, and a little black dress. You can also add some statement accessories to make your outfit pop.

  • Embrace comfortable fashion

Being a mum means you must be on your toes all day. So, it’s essential to embrace comfortable fashion. This doesn’t mean you must wear sweatpants and hoodies all day. You can opt for comfortable yet stylish clothing like a maxi dress or a jumpsuit. These outfits are perfect for running errands or playing with your little one.

  • Accessorize

Accessories can take any outfit from drab to fab. Invest in statement jewellery, a stylish watch, and a chic handbag. These accessories can add a pop of colour and texture to your outfit, making it more interesting.

  • Try out new hairstyles

Hairstyles can make a significant impact on your overall look. Experiment with different hairstyles to find the one that suits you the best. You can try out different haircuts, hair colours, and styles. If you’re short on time, try simple hairstyles like a messy bun or a sleek ponytail.

  • Make time for yourself

As a mum, it’s easy to get caught up in caring for your little one and forget about yourself. However, making time to do the things you love is essential. Take some time out to go shopping, get a manicure or pedicure, or even go for a haircut. These small things can significantly affect how you feel about yourself.

Being a mum doesn’t mean you must give up your style and fashion sense. It’s essential to identify your style, upgrade your wardrobe, embrace comfortable fashion, accessorize, try new hairstyles, and make time for yourself.

By following these tips, you can be a stylish mum while still being a great parent to your little one. Remember, being a mum is beautiful, and you deserve to feel confident and stylish while doing it.
