Spice up your date night

28 Apr, 2016

Being parents does not mean the end of romantic date nights. Here are some tips to up the passion when you plan your next date.

Spice up your date night

Spice up your date night

Are those date nights with hubby getting just a little too familiar and entering the ho-hum, boring zone? Don't fret! Shake things up with these super simple tricks to spice up any date night!
Get physical!

Get physical!

No, we're not talking about the horizontal tango (not yet at least!) but getting your blood pumping by playing a one on one sport like tennis, squash or even rock climbing on your date will get those feel good endorphins rushing.

And the increased pulse rate, flushed cheeks and sweaty brow could trigger increased sexual attraction. So after the workout, jump into the shower together for a quickie that's fun, exciting and definitely not boring!

Set the mood

Set the mood

Remember that ambiance lifts something routine such as dinner into something much more romantic. So take out those scented candles and champagne glasses (even if it's only for juice or iced water) as well as your best plates to serve dinner this evening to take your date night up a notch.

Also, if it's just you and your hubby in the house that night (little ones staying over at their grandparents), then up the heat factor by serving dinner in some sexy lingerie.

Get to know each other...again

Get to know each other...again

Nothing kills dinner conversation or amorous mood then talk about chores or what you had for lunch. Relieve those honeymoon period by getting to know your partner again by asking him/her about their hopes, dreams and dream holiday destinations.

Ask them questions about their childhood such as earliest childhood memory or about where they grew up. Remember that no matter how long you've been together and how much you think you know each other, there's always something new to discover.

Don't plan

Don't plan

Sometimes, having no plan could be the best plan. Show your spontaneous nature by taking the day off and spending the day as a couple while the kids are in school or daycare. Leave the car at home and take random buses as you rediscover Singapore and your romance simultaneously.

The unexpectedness of the date and not really knowing where you're headed next, keeps the excitement alive and allows both of you to embark on this adventure together, even though it is just momentary.
