Singpass App to the Rescue: Your Ultimate Guide to Navigating Polling Stations for PE2023

In an age where technology is transforming every aspect of our daily lives, it’s no surprise that it’s also revolutionizing the way we vote. This year, Singaporeans are witnessing a significant change in their electoral process with the introduction of digital access to polling stations through the Singpass mobile app.

Polling Stations Go Digital

The Elections Department Singapore (ELD) has announced that polling stations will be located across the island in community centres and schools. Now, voters can easily find their assigned station for the upcoming September 1st election via their Singpass mobile application.

Accessing Your Digital Polling Stations Details

Voters can access their ePoll Card under their digital Identification Card on the Singpass app. Tapping on it reveals detailed information such as full name, registered address, polling station address, electoral division, polling district, and voter serial number.

What’s More?

Additionally, voters can check the queue at their assigned polling station on the day of the election. However, this service will only be available on polling day, September 1st.

Those who downloaded the Singpass mobile application before the launch of ePoll cards will need to tap on the triple dot button beside “My cards” and select “Refresh cards” to view their ePoll card.

A Step Towards Efficient Voting

This move is seen as a significant step towards making voting more efficient and accessible. With three candidates running for president, this new feature allows Singaporeans to plan ahead and avoid long queues on election day.

Voters can either present their digital National Registration Identity Card (NRIC) along with their ePoll card via Singpass or bring their physical poll card and original NRIC or passport to the polling station.

Your Vote, Your Voice

It’s time to embrace this change and step into the future of voting. Remember, your polling station details are just a few taps away on your Singpass app. So mark your calendars for September 1st, check your ePoll card, and get ready to make your voice heard.

Don’t miss this opportunity to participate in an important decision-making process that will shape our nation’s future.

After all, democracy is not a spectator sport. It requires active participation from all of us. Happy voting!
