Is age really just a number?
One look at Singapore photographer Chuando Tan, and you are bound to think so. That’s because he is 50. And looks…25?

#1. Chuando was a model in Singapore in the late 1980s and early 1990s. In fact, he was one of Singapore’s top male models then.

#3. Chuando became a celebrity photographer in 1996, and even took pictures of stars like Shu Qi and Rosamund Kwan.

#4. In 2006, he launched photography firm ChuanDo&Frey with friend Frey Ow.

They have shot for international fashion magazines like Jalouse, Muse, L’Officiel, Harper’s Bazaar, and Elle, and have worked with clients such as L’Oréal, ION Orchard Singapore, Levi’s, and Motorola. (Yup, we heard you, hot, and talent to boot!)
The duo also shot the cover and images of Janet Jackson’s 10th studio album Discipline in 2008.
#5. For the record, Chuando still owns a top modelling agency in Singapore, ‘Ave’.

#6. And yes, 1.85m-tall Tan is 50. And wears nerdy black glasses and washboard abs. Feel free to stalk him on Instagram, where he has around 416,000 followers!

#7. Apparently, Chuando stays young by avoiding late nights, working out and swimming regularly, not bathing late at night or early in the morning, and eating lots of spicy Hainanese chicken.

Chuando Tan is a photographer from Singapore who attracted the attention of the whole world to himself by not only taking photos of other people but his own photos too. Did you know that Tan had also managed to become a pop singer in the ’90s? However, his singing career didn’t last long and that’s why he chose photography.
