McDonald’s may have started the Singapore-themed food trend this year, but they certainly aren’t the only ones celebrating The Lion City as National Day approaches!
McDonald’s
Everyone’s favourite fast food chain got the party started early this year when they announced a National Day Menu which included the nasi lemak burger, bandung fizz, criss cut fries, coconut pie and a chendol mcflurry. Unfortunately, McDonald’s misjudged how popular this menu would be, and it promptly sold out!
McDonald’s has come back with a second Singapore-inspired menu, but people are still clamouring for the return of the nasi lemak burger! In the meantime, you’ll have to settle for the Eggcelent McSpicy and keep your fingers crossed that they’ll bring it back.

Sarnies
CBD workers will love this one. Sarnies is celebrating National Day with their Chilli Crab Pasta. It’s only available for another week though, so make sure you head down there before August 11th!

Ya Kun Kaya Toast embraces the King of Fruit this National Day with their Durian Kaya Toast, available until August 9th. It’s available for both dine-in and takeaway so no excuse for missing this one!

Pezzo
Pezzo joins Ya Kun Kaya Toast in using durian as the key ingredient in their National Day menu. The local pizza chain has created a pizza with a blend of Mao Shan Wang and D24 durian and just to make it even more unique, they’re serving it on an activated charcoal crust.

Starbucks
The coffee giant has a few Singapore-inspired food items for a limited time including Ovaltine chocolate cake, Horlicks white chocolate cake and ondeh ondeh gula melaka cake. But the highlight of their National Day menu is definitely the Shiok-ah-ccino, a frappuccino made with gula melaka, coffee jelly and coconut.

The Beast
You have a bit more time to check out The Beast’s National Day menu which is great because we actually want to try everything! The Beast does Southern cooking with a local twist which we think is a great combination. They’ve got Salted Egg Yolk Chicken & Pantan Waddles, Beef Rendang Cheese Fries and good news for the folks who didn’t get to McDonald’s in time, a Nasi Lemak Burger! They’ll be running this menu until the end of August or until stocks run out.

The Pine
The Pine goes all out this National Day with this Singapore-flag cake. They’ve gone nostalgic with their menu, this Gula Melaka Attap Chee Cake has pink vanilla sponge, gula melaka fudge and buttercream icing. Available until the end of August from selected outlets.
