From 29 September to 3 October 2021, the Singapore Heart Foundation (SHF) will be working with 13 famous buildings and landmarks in Singapore to illuminate the city skyline in red to mark World Heart Day.

World Heart Day is a global initiative that aims to educate and motivate people to take care of their hearts. The colour red is used as a symbol of heart health while serving as a warning to look out for the red flags of cardiovascular disease.

For the first time this year, the Singapore Sports Hub, orchard gateway and SGH Museum (Bowyer Block) will be participating in the Go Red for World Heart Day Light Up.

The other buildings and landmarks involved include Gardens by the Bay, Marina Square, Millenia Tower & Centennial Tower, OCBC Centre, Ocean Financial Centre, One Raffles Place, Republic Plaza, Singapore Flyer, The Fullerton Hotel and Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall.

In line with the focus on hypertension, SHF will also give out three Automatic Blood Pressure Monitors in a contest to encourage more Singaporeans to monitor their blood pressure regularly to maintain a healthy heart.
The contest will take place from 29 September till 3 October 2021, 11:59 pm, and three lucky winners will be announced on 8 October on SHF’s Facebook and Instagram pages.

To take part in the giveaway contest, you will simply need to:
- Take a photo of one of the participating red-lit buildings or landmarks with a finger heart and post the photo on Facebook or Instagram (note: accounts need to be public)
- Tag @HeartFoundation for Facebook or @SingaporeHeartFoundation for Instagram
- Hashtag #GoRedforWHD and #WorldHeartDay
