A tragedy has been reported. A Singapore family dies after horrific 5 vehicle road accident at Port Dickson in Malaysia.

An extremely sad news has been reported. A Singapore family died after a horrific 5 vehicle road accident at Port Dickson in Malaysia.

Singapore family dies

According to The Straits Times, the accident happened on Jan 3 at around 2:30 pm, at Jalan Lukut Sepang. 5 vehicles – a Honda Stream, a tipper truck, a Mercedes-Benz sport utility vehicle, a Perodua Myvi and a motorcycle were involved.

The Singapore family were travelling in the Honda car, and horrific photos show the car being crushed by a tipper truck.

Apparently, the truck had hit the motorcycle before skidding onto the opposite lane and hitting the Honda, Mercedes-Benz and Perodua Myvi.

3 passengers – Madam Maimunah Sapari, 51, Ms Nur Amalina Rosli, 21, and Ms Dayana Sarah Rosli, 18 –  died on the spot. The driver, Mr Rosli Samad, 54, died on the way to hospital.

The truck driver initially fled from the spot on foot, but later surrendered to police.

Holiday tragedy

It has been revealed that Mr Rosli was the owner of R S Bikes Centre at Kaki Bukit, that he runs with his son.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Singapore) has expressed its condolences. A spokesman said, “MFA extends our deepest condolences to the family of the four Singaporeans who passed away in the tragic car accident at Port Dickson, Malaysia.”

“The Singapore High Commission in Kuala Lumpur is in contact with the Malaysian authorities and is rendering the necessary consular assistance to the next-of-kin of the family.”

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family.

So many accidents have been reported in the last 1 month. Most of them involved people travelling overseas on holiday.

On December 22, 3 members of a Singapore family died in a fatal car crash on their way to the Grand Canyon in Arizona. Their teenage daughter, a first year student at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), survived.

Do stay safe, mums and dads.
