Singapore City Gallery, previously known as URA Gallery, is a quick 30-minute must-go destination for every corporate visitor or educational city tour. Spanning three storeys, it is the Singapore City visitor centre about city planning – how Singapore is transformed to being a vibrant metropolis for 4.1 million people and yet has space for greenery, built heritage and gracious living.
One of the highlights is a fascinating, huge Central Area Model offering visitors a unique bird’s eye view of Singapore’s city centre. With a light-and-sound show, it gives a good orientation of the major places of interest – Singapore River and Orchard Road, as well as latest exciting plans for Marina Bay and Bras Basah-Bugis.
Conveniently located, Singapore City Gallery is just a stone’s throw from the historic heart of Chinatown, the famous Club Street with chic eateries, and the well-known Maxwell Food Centre nearby.
