Simple cookies to bake with your kids

26 Dec, 2012

Kids love anything that involves them using their little hands, and the messier the task the more enjoyable to exercise. Therefore, a lot of patience and laughter is needed when taking on the task of baking simple cookies with your little ones. The following are some ideas that should keep both you and your child delightfully occupied.

Bear shaped cookies

Bear shaped cookies

Bear shaped cookies are one of the easiest to make as it only involves making three balls to depict the head and ears.

Regular cookie dough, should be kneaded and once done, get your child to make little balls, then flatten three balls, to form the shape of a bear face, place it in the oven and bake for about 15 minutes. When it has cooled, allow your child to get creative with the decorations.

When the mixture is ready, roll it into 1 inch balls and place in muffin cups. Press a peanut butter cup candy into each muffin cup when dough has baked to a light brown and let your child watch while the candy melts into the muffin cup.
