SG60 Vouchers: Everything You Need to Know About These!

2 Mar, 2025
SG60 Vouchers: Everything You Need to Know About These!

Singaporeans are getting SG60 vouchers worth up to S$800! Here’s how you can spend them and make the most of this benefit.

SG60 vouchers are set to benefit millions of Singaporeans as part of the SG60 Package, a special initiative celebrating the nation’s 60th anniversary. These vouchers will provide financial relief and encourage spending at local businesses. If you’re wondering how much you’ll receive, where you can use them, and when they’ll be available, this guide has all the answers.

Who is Eligible for SG60 Vouchers?

The good news is that most adult Singaporeans qualify for SG60 vouchers. If you’re 21 years or older in 2025, you will receive S$600 in vouchers. However, if you’re 60 years or older, you’ll get an additional S$200, bringing your total to S$800. This ensures that seniors, who may have higher daily expenses, get extra support.

How Can SG60 Vouchers Be Used?

Similar to CDC vouchers, SG60 vouchers can be spent at a variety of locations. Half of the vouchers can be used at participating supermarkets, helping Singaporeans offset grocery expenses. The other half is valid at heartland merchants and hawkers, allowing people to support local businesses while enjoying affordable meals and essential services.

The government designed these vouchers to ensure that the money stays within local communities. By spending them at neighbourhood stores and hawker centres, Singaporeans help small businesses thrive while getting more value from their purchases.

When Will SG60 Vouchers Be Distributed?

You won’t have to wait too long to receive your SG60 vouchers. The government has announced that distribution will begin in July 2025. Seniors will be prioritised, meaning those aged 60 and above will receive their vouchers first. More details about the redemption process will be shared by the People’s Association and CDCs closer to the launch date.

What Other Benefits Are Included in the SG60 Package?

While SG60 vouchers are a significant part of the SG60 Package, they are not the only benefit Singaporeans can look forward to. Here are some other perks included in the celebration:

  • Personal Income Tax Rebate: Singaporeans will enjoy a 60% tax rebate for the Year of Assessment 2025, capped at S$200.
  • SG60 Baby Gift: Parents of babies born in 2025 will receive a special commemorative gift to mark this milestone year.
  • SG60 ActiveSG Credit Top-Up: All ActiveSG members will get a S$100 credit top-up in June 2025, encouraging fitness and wellness.
  • SG Culture Pass: From September 2025, Singaporeans aged 18 and above will receive S$100 in credits to enjoy arts, heritage, and cultural events.
  • Support for Hawkers: Hawkers will receive a one-time rental support of S$600 per stall, with further investments planned for upgrading hawker centres.

How Do SG60 Vouchers Benefit Singaporeans?

The introduction of SG60 vouchers is a well-timed initiative that will bring both financial relief and economic benefits. For households, they offer extra savings on groceries and daily necessities. For businesses, especially heartland merchants and hawkers, the vouchers drive more customers to their stores, boosting sales.

This initiative also fosters a sense of community. Spending vouchers at neighbourhood shops helps keep small businesses alive, while using them at hawker centres supports local food culture. In short, SG60 vouchers are more than just financial aid—they are a way to celebrate Singapore’s progress while strengthening community ties.

Takeaway

SG60 vouchers are a meaningful gift to Singaporeans as the nation marks 60 years of independence. Whether you plan to use them for groceries, dining at hawker centres, or shopping at heartland stores, these vouchers ensure that everyone benefits from the country’s economic growth. As we wait for the official distribution in July 2025, Singaporeans can look forward to making the most of these new benefits while celebrating six decades of progress together.
