Just another Friday lunch at theAsianparent HQ

Have you heard about the Secret Cooks Club?
No? That's the point.
The first rule of the Secret Cooks Club is: We don’t talk about the Secret Cooks Club.
But while the nature of the club is to remain secret, we at theAsianparent thought hosting a Secret Cooks Club pop up lunch would be a great way for our team to bond, meet new people and share great ideas.
Keep clicking "next" to preview what happens during a Secret Cooks Club pop up lunch, see the faces behind theAsianparent and get a sneak peek of our cozy office!

Casual affair
The pop up lunch was a cozy affair held in theAsianparent office along Telok Ayer Street.

Garden theme
thAsianparent team arranged a simple garden-themed party decor composed of pinwheels, paper and plastic flowers, pastel picket fences, metallic buckets and bright-colored watering cans to liven up the conference rooms.

Team effort
Carla, our Chief Editor, and Fang from our client support team arrange a delectable spread of Indian food on the windowsill.

Chefs de partier
Stelvin, our VP of Operations, works together with our Associate Editor Justina in preparing the scrumptious appetizer: Palak Eggs (smoked salmon, toasted bread and perfectly poached eggs at 63 degrees Celsius).

Ladies who lunch
The Palak Eggs get rave reviews from these wonderful ladies: Fang and Danni from theAsianparent team and Ina, publisher of Esquire Philippines and Forbes Philippines magazines.

Perfect venue for networking
theAsianparent's directors, Hellmut and Sanjeev, enjoy refreshing coconut drinks while getting to know a few guests who registered to join the pop up lunch.

That torched touch
The Secret Chef gives the tender chicken breasts that have been perfectly seasoned with rosemary a quick torching before slicing and serving.

Sous vide style
How is the Secret Chef able to prepare food for 30 guests without a kitchen?
The answer: He uses sous vide equipment, which you can find on this website: undervacuumlah.com.

Countryside Chicken
The main course of the pop up lunch is a tender chicken breast seasoned with rosemary and cooked at 61 degrees Celsius. On the side are salad greens and potatoes and pumpkin puree. Simply delicious!

Positively fresh
The company culture at Tickled Media, publisher of theAsianparent, thrives in bringing together the well-experienced and the newbies to share both tried-and-tested and novel ideas.
Among the valuable young members of the Tickled Media team are Stephen (seated leftmost) and Lucinda (seated second from right).

Downtime with the CEO
Tickled Media's CEO, Roshni (leftmost), and VP of Insights, Neetu (rightmost), share a laugh with team members and guests.

Look! It's the Secret Cook!
But alas, we can only show you his back. As the pop up lunch received more and more guests, he remained the busy secret chef in the background, preparing plate after plate of his culinary creations with the assistance of his small but efficient team.

The guests keep coming!
We lost count as people kept popping in to attend the popup lunch. Here you see Neetu, our VP of Insights, entertaining inquiries from a guest while others more enter to get to the food station.

Full house
It was standing room only at the successful Secret Cooks Club pop up lunch at theAsianparent office!
