Marine explorers, both young and old, have much to learn at the FIRST-EVER Ocean Wonders by National Geographic, happening at S.E.A. Aquarium!

Did you know that the Great White Shark is the largest predatory fish and has 300 teeth at any one time? Or that, the Golden Poison Arrow Frog has enough toxins to kill 10 adult humans?! Have you ever seen a Sand Tiger Shark known to come to the surface for air?

Mums and dads, the marine world just got more exciting with National Geographic’s Ocean Wonders, happening for the first time ever at S.E.A. Aquarium. It’s on right now and will run until 20 May 2018!

The little ones are going to learn so much about these creatures of the sea! (Or should we say, S.E.A.?)

Here’s what is in store!

Ocean Record Breakers

S.E.A. Aquarium

Dive into S.E.A. Aquarium to learn incredible facts about amazing marine species at National Geographic’s FIRST-EVER Ocean Record Breakers exhibition.

For example, did you know that the largest giant squid measured 18 metres in length and weighed nearly 900 kilograms?

Have fun exploring many such amazing facts with your kids. And while you are there, don’t forget to challenge yourself by answering the fun quizzes!

Marine Photography Adventure

S.E.A. Aquarium

Ever wonder how people manage to capture stunning aquarium pictures without an underwater camera? Well, here’s your chance to get some pro tips on taking Insta-worthy shots using just your mobile phone!

Photography at S.E.A Aquarium is even more exciting than before, with plenty of thrilling animals such as the new Sand Tiger Sharks, glow in the dark sea jellies and Poison Arrow Frogs. You won’t get another chance to capture these stunning creatures with your camera!

National Geographic Ocean Exploration Children's Workshop

This is Singapore’s FIRST-EVER marine science and maritime exploration workshop, especially designed for children aged 7 to 12.

Through guided tours, exclusive documentary screenings and interactive activities at both S.E.A. Aquarium and the revamped Maritime Experiential Museum, children will learn what it takes to be a great explorer. They’ll also understand the most important global factors for ocean conservation.

Workshop Highlights:

  • Get exciting first-hand experience of the sea and its marine life at The Maritime Experiential Museum and S.E.A. Aquarium.
  • Be awed by the fascinating lives of real adventurers like Admiral Zheng He through the exclusive screening of Maritime Silk Road Reborn and New Wave Warriors.
  • Challenge your resourcefulness: overcome resource limitations, just like real maritime adventurers, to build a ship!
  • Immerse in interactive sessions and games about ocean exploration and conservation.
