Get in touch with history, arts and culture at ACM. Enjoy creative, hands-on activities, interactive performances, drama and storytelling in the museum’s galleries. Each month features a different theme, so you get to learn about tales behind popular cultural festivals.
Also, you can embark on a journey across ancient civilisations and make your masterpiece inspired by thousand-year old artworks.

3. Play@Library
When planning school holiday activities, it’s an absolute must to include a library visit in the itinerary. Taking place in various locations such as Bukit Batok, Tampines, Bukit Panjang, Harbourfront & Tampines, this is an unstructured play programme (open to children aged six and below) where children can learn, socialise and make new friends while enjoying the variety of books and educational aids available.

4. Jiggle Read & Rhyme
Are you guilty of being too busy to read to your little ones? You’re not alone! Join fellow parents with young children (aged one to three) and support your child’s early development through an enjoyable 30-minute session of songs, rhymes and stories that come alive.
You can, of course, stay on at the library after the event and allow your child to explore the enchanting world of books! It’s never too early to encourage the love for reading and language.

5. Gardener’s Day Out
Get your kids’ fingers off the devices and cultivate their green fingers instead! Gardener’s Day Out promises an entire day of gardening and lifestyle activities for participants. Highlights include the Marketplace, free talks and demonstrations, a free garden tour of HortPark, and kids’ activities like storytelling and handicrafts.
Gardening isn’t something your kids get to experience every day so don’t miss this rare chance. Also, getting outdoors and walking around will do the whole family good!

6. Children’s Season 2019
This June, Children’s Special at the National Museum celebrates the launch of their special publication for families, Get Curious! – The Official Interactive Guide to the National Museum of Singapore. Explore the permanent galleries as a family with this book, and discover the exciting stories of highlighted artefacts through themes such as Animals, Colours, Shapes, Transport and Values.
In addition, head on to the basement area to discover magical story worlds of the land, sea and forest, play on bouncy castles and discover toys of the past. Join fun programmes such as character tours, Young Cinema screenings and engaging workshops where you can create your own wind-up toys and artwork.
This is definitely something you don’t come across every day and the kids are sure to love it!

7. Gladiator Challenge

8. Festival of Biodiversity 2019
