Homegrown kids’ technology brand myFirst today announced the official local launch of Insta magiBox, an AI-powered sticker printer. The device turns spoken descriptions into printable illustrations and is now available in Singapore.
From a Spoken Idea to a Printed Sticker
A child could say “an octopus wearing a sailor’s hat”, as a starting point for an illustration. Using Voice-to-Image, magiBox generates artwork from the description and displays it on its screen before printing automatically.
Kids can then colour the printed artwork and use their stickers to decorate notebooks, cards or craft projects. The printed picture becomes a starting point for further creativity: users can choose its colours, draw additional details or add their own words.
For those who want to create a longer adventure, Voice-to-Story turns a spoken idea into an illustrated story across four scenes.
“AI can provide a starting point, but we want children to decide what happens next,” said G-Jay Yong, founder and CEO of myFirst. “A printed picture gives them something they can change, colour and make their own. Our approach is to give families a way to explore new technology together, with children bringing the ideas and parents taking part in the experience.”
Powered by a Combination of AI Models with Built-in Safeguards for Kids

Insta magiBox uses a combination of AI models such as Gemini and OpenAI to turn spoken ideas into illustrations and stories. It also includes built-in safety filters developed by the myFirst team specifically for kids.
The device checks prompts before generating content. When a request does not pass its safety filters, magiBox blocks the requested image and displays “Oops! Try another idea”, encouraging the child to try a different description.
“At myFirst, we believe technology should support childhood, not consume it. We designed Insta magiBox to give children room to explore, create and express themselves, while setting clear boundaries around what it can do and how it responds to inappropriate requests.” said G-Jay Yong, founder and CEO of myFirst.
Insta magiBox’s voice recognition supports 26 languages and language varieties, allowing kids to describe their ideas in a language they feel comfortable speaking, without first translating them into English. Supported languages include English, Mandarin, Korean, Japanese, Malay, Indonesian, Hindi, Thai, Vietnamese and Filipino.
