For 12 years, S.E.A. Aquarium has been more than a marine attraction; it has been a place where families bond, children ignite their curiosity about the ocean, and conservation awareness is nurtured. Now, as it embarks on an exciting transformation into the Singapore Oceanarium, S.E.A. Aquarium is inviting guests to join its 12 Years of Creating Wonder celebration from 8 March to 30 April 2025.

The anniversary programme features immersive experiences, interactive exhibits, and community-driven collaborations – reflecting how we have connected with our guests over the years – all designed to bring together the friends of S.E.A. Celebrate Marine Wonders with Interactive Discovery Zones
Throughout the anniversary period, families can explore specially curated discovery zones, each highlighting key aspects of marine conservation, education, and research:

Wall of Fame: Walk through the aquarium’s journey, from its Guinness World Record as the world’s largest aquarium to groundbreaking initiatives like the Children’s Biodiversity Library in partnership with the National Library Board. Kids will love learning about the aquarium’s role in rescuing sea turtles and its efforts in breeding endangered species.

Treasures of Curios: Engage in interactive exhibits showcasing S.E.A. Aquarium’s marine conservation efforts, including its beach cleanup initiatives (which removed over 1,000kg of trash from Singapore’s shores last year) and a motion-sensor lightbox revealing fascinating intertidal creatures such as the Cake Sand Dollar and Horn-eyed Ghost Crab.

Marine Mirage: Get up close to marine life with sensory and tactile exhibits that allow visitors to feel the textures of marine animals like Sea Urchins and Cownose Rays. Children can also hear real stories from aquarists about how they care for animals like Zebra Sharks and Sea Jellies.

Ocean Oracle: Perfect for young explorers aged 7-12, this zone introduces the Junior Ocean Detective programme, where children can use interactive lenses to investigate fascinating marine animal relationships, from predator-prey dynamics to symbiotic partnerships.
A Creative Collaboration with ART:DIS to Inspire the Next Generation

To mark its transformation into the Singapore Oceanarium, S.E.A. Aquarium is partnering with Arts & Disability Singapore (ART:DIS) to create a three-part art series titled Evolving Oceans: A Symphony of Life.
Spearheaded by artist Eugene Soh, known for his impressionist-inspired marine art, the artwork reflects the ocean’s evolution and our role in protecting it. Guests can participate in complimentary marine-themed art workshops, contributing their artwork to the installation.
