Each December, we share Christmas traditions such as exchanging presents, and spending time together. For many, an important part of the season is sharing their family’s joy through heartwarming portraits. The British Royal family is no exception. Their annual royal Xmas card tradition has spread smiles around the world year after year.
A week before Christmas, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were “pleased to share a new photograph of their family.”
The 2017 royal Xmas card is a more traditional family portrait as compared to the one last year

“Delighted that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have chosen to use this family portrait I shot as their Christmas Card this year,” photographer Chris Jackson wrote in a tweet. “Merry Christmas!”
Charmingly coordinated in hues of blue, this royal Xmas portrait is quite different from last year’s more candid shot. The previous year’s card showed the royal family in Victoria, British Columbia, and was taken by the same photographer. But it’s certainly just as endearing!

It’s even more adorable to think that next year, there will be five of them in the Holiday card, as Kate Middleton is due to give birth to her third child sometime in 2018.
There’s no doubt that it will be an even more festive Yuletide celebration this year at Kensington Palace. The Royals will welcome another addition to their family, Prince Harry’s fiancée, Meghan Markle.
