Nowadays, one of the most common ways to find true love is through the internet or on a dating app. I know that sounds a bit strange, but in actuality there are some pretty impressive statistics to back this up. In many studies, research says 17% of married couples met through online dating, the amount of 18-24 year olds using dating apps/websites has tripled in the past 2 years, and interestingly enough: older crowds aren’t getting left out! In fact, 12% of people aged 55 to 64 report having used online dating or a dating app!
While there’s absolutely nothing wrong with meeting your once and future love through less traditional ways, there’s just something so uplifting about hearing how a couple met in a traditional way. In a recent Ask Reddit thread, users were asked to share their “how we met” love stories with the web. Cosmopolitan took the time to handpick the sweetest and most romantic of the bunch.
