Resilient S'pore Mum Starts Campaign To Repay Loans And Support Her 3-Year-Old Son

Resilient S'pore Mum Starts Campaign To Repay Loans And Support Her 3-Year-Old Son

Mdm Fazira and her future spouse need your help to raise money to provide the best for their son.

As parents, we always want the absolute best for our kids. We make sure that we provide them with a loving home and raise money for the family to ensure we give them everything they may need growing up.

And just like the rest of us, Mdm Fazira and her future spouse want the same for her son.

But with the couple barely able to manage all their finances, owing to their unstable source of income, it has become difficult to repay their loans.

So in an effort to provide the best for her child, the resilient mother has started a fundraising campaign to “defray their living expenses.”

Mum Of 3-Year-Old Boy Barely Able To Repay Her Loans

Mdm Fazira and her future spouse live in a one-room rental flat with their 3-year-old son. According to Ray of Hope (where they are currently running the fundraiser), the couple take turns in working as delivery riders and looking after their child.

On a good month, the mum shares that they might earn around $2,000 collectively. But on low work months, they are only able to earn around $700 to $800.

For a while, Fazira and her future spouse were unable to work as their e-bike was faulty. This then caused a significant decrease in the couple’s income.

Since they were not earning as much with work, Fazira took up a few loans late last year to support the living expenses of the family of three. The hardworking mum has no one else to rely on for help as she grew up “with little to no family support”.

Having to rely on their income as delivery riders, the couple has incurred some debts over time. It has come to a point where their monthly loan repayment now takes up half of their salary.

With the help of Ray of Hope, Fazira and her future spouse hope to raise S$2,500 (S$500 x 5 months) to be able to repay their loans on time. This is also, of course, so they can better support their 3-year-old son.

It has also been noted that Mdm Fazira is not receiving any financial assistance from the government.

The fundraising campaign started on 5 August and is already at 48%. As of Tuesday (10 August), the couple has raised S$1,212 of their S$2,500 goal.
