Top 8 public speaking programmes for kids in Singapore

6 Oct, 2013

Does the prospect of speaking in front of people cause your child to break out in a cold sweat? Then its time to consider these public speaking programmes for kids in Singapore. Your child will be a pro at public speaking in no time!

As adults, many of us fear public speaking. There's just something about standing up on a stage by yourself, addressing a crowd, that's a bit daunting.

However, it doesn't have to be like this for our kids. Public speaking is actually a really important skill that kids should be encouraged to nurture.

It not just helps them ace their P1 show-and-tell assessment, but also gives them important life-skills and attributes like confidence and self-belief.

So, with this in mind, we bring you 8 of the best public speaking programmes for kids in Singapore.

Click next to find out what they are.

1. Singapore Media Academy

1. Singapore Media Academy

Singapore Media Academy is a wholly-owned subsidiary of MediaCorp and offers training, education and consultancy services to address the needs of the local and regional media industries.

You’ll be pleased to know that they also offer a Public Speaking course especially for little ones from 4 to 8 years old.

We’re talking about their unique  ‘Kidz Talking’ programme, where young ones can develop their public speaking skills with the guidance of experienced trainers.

The course uses structured activities that are fun and exciting while using different mediums and props to provide various perspectives that will enhance their presentations.

Students will develop their speech with pitch, pace, power and pauses, and will learn how to communicate more effectively with appropriate body language, such as posture and hand gestures.

What we love: The ‘Storytelling and Picture Talk’ and ‘Show and Tell’ modules included in the course outline!
