Singapore singer Tay Kewei was recently “schooled” by one of her Instagram followers who privately messaged her about her post on ‘problems with infertility.’
This caused the celeb mum to check with her followers if she was being “insensitive” about the topic.
In her Instagram stories posted on Wednesday (11 August), the mum-of-two spoke about fertility problems. She also shared a list of topics people should avoid discussing with a woman going through infertility.

Celeb mum Tay Kewei received direct messages on Instagram about her previous post on infertility issues.
A follower pointed that the singer’s words were “calculating” and that “stress doesn’t help.” She also added that saying that “the moment you give up it happens” could come off as a “misconception to the public that this is the norm.”
Claiming that the words Tay Kewei used didn’t help, her follower added, “I believe that for the most part, it’s because both you and Alfred lead a healthy lifestyle and both have a healthy body. Or you could just reply you are lucky!”
“Also I’ve been advocating on this for a very long time not just because of my own fertility journey, but I saw a lot of ladies who suffered in silence just because the public are not educated enough in this aspect,” the follower stated.
Tay Kewei shared these messages on her IG stories and wrote, “I was schooled by someone who feels that I was glossing over infertility problems and perpetuating an unfair norm that ‘once you stop stressing it will happen’.”
She then started a poll asking her followers of she was being “insensitive.”
“It’s just 1 follower but I do wanna put it out there that I didn’t mean it at all,” added the singer.
