You may be surprised to find the fathers also playing. Make sure you stock up on lots of cold water, juices and chips for the after game refreshments. For food, you could have pizza delivered.

The newest hot spot on the East Coast Park belt, Parkland Green; has a haven of eateries and outdoor activities.

This massive indoor arena is suitable for kids as young as 4 years of age. With a wide choice of eateries in the area, this is a perfect spot to organise a get-together.

#6 Art/Craft party

#6 Art/Craft party

If you're a DIY mum, then this is the perfect idea for you. With several online ideas to follow, this is a great way to keep the kids engaged in a creative way.

In this case, ideas can depend on the budget, time and age group of kids. You can even put a theme to the whole party- Flower theme, Hawaiian theme or customise the activities as per the age of the kids- Customise the ‘Tees’, Bead Crafts, Nature Crafts, Cool Clay, etc.

You can start with a visit to People’s Park in Chinatown. Do check out Golden Dragon, where you’ll find great supplies for knitting, sewing or embroidery. Other options include stores like Spotlight, ART Friend, DAISO, Sin Hin Chuan Kee.
#7 Trampoline Party

#7 Trampoline Party

An activity that appeals to all ages (6 years to 30 years), the Trampoline Park is a great spot to unleash the kid in you.

The most popular one is AMPED, located conveniently at River Valley and Jurong. With pricing varying during the day over a weekend (mornings being cheaper and evening more expensive), this is a good option if you don’t have a big crowd.

Do note that AMPED has no option for food. So it may be best to cut the cake after the kids play. A perfect activity for kids above 5 years of age- but don't be surprised to see adults jumping around in the foam pit too!
#8 Coney Island tours

#8 Coney Island tours

If your kid likes the outdoors and you are bored of all gardens, then this one may be a bit off the cuff. Opened recently to the public, Coney Island is an ecologically sustainable park with many environmental initiatives. It focuses on conserving energy and water, recycling and retaining of the natural elements in the park.

It may be best to hire out a volunteer guide and a few cycles, and get going. An absolutely rustic experience, you can start by exploring the forest and mangrove habitats on the newly built boardwalk and move on to the beach which can be accessed at five locations.

This activity is recommended only for kids 11 years and above.
