Our Music Studio (OMS) is a premium early childhood music school located at Tanglin Mall. Creating lasting musical bonds for parents and their children, OMS teachers are also dedicated to draw out the innate music talents of young children through singing, playing of percussion instruments, movements & dancing, creative play, story-telling with songs and music from different genres and countries.
Their experienced, dedicated & well-trained educators will guide you through the Music Learning Process (a systematic approach based on Orff Schulwerk, Dalcroze and Kodaly frameworks) on an amazing journey of musical discovery.
A systematic approach
Gain EXPOSURE to a wide repertoire of music genres. INTERNALIZE the music through activities that teach
basic rudiments of music. EXPRESS the learned skills through body movement (dance, body percussion), instrument play and exploration, vocalisation (singing, chanting) and ensemble playing. IMPROVISE and create your very own addition to the piece of music you heard.
Here are what some of the mums had to say!
“In OMS, the selection of the songs of each term includes a big variety of Asian and worldwide songs (European, African, Asian, Australian, etc), from children songs to classic ones. My daughter is a trilingual child and she can easily memorise any lyrics from different songs in any of the three languages and most recently even the Chinese songs she learned in OMS.” –Liana, mother of Emilia
“Teacher and Our Music Studio has been most responsive to parent feedback. Freya has learnt and develop a lot in her past year here. Jane’s rapport with the children has been fantastic.” – Felicia Lim-Ng, mother of Freya Kylie Lim
