Supermarkets open for Chinese New Year 2019 in Singapore!

Mums and dads, wondering if there any supermarkets open for Chinese New Year in Singapore?

Chinese New Year is fast approaching, and in the midst of all that planning and preparation, a big concern is, how much do we have to buy in advance? Where do we run off to in case of emergencies? Are there any supermarkets open for Chinese New Year 2019 in Singapore? 

Well, fret not, because supermarkets going on holiday for Chinese New Year (CNY) seems to be a thing of the past. Check out the operating hours of some major supermarkets for CNY this year!

NTUC CNY Opening Hours 2019

For NTUC CNY opening hours in 2019, 110 NTUC FairPrice stores will be open on the first day of Chinese New Year.

All FairPrice outlets will resume business the day after, the second day of Chinese New Year, except the MacPherson Mall outlet.

The MacPherson Mall outlet will open on the third day of Chinese New Year.

Online deliveries will also remain available between 8 am and 6pm. Normal delivery timings will resume on the third day of Lunar New Year.

Sheng Siong CNY Opening Hours 2019

NTUC CNY Opening Hours 2019

Over at Sheng Siong, in the days leading up to Chinese New Year, some outlets will extend their shopping hours to 24 hours! The 24-hour-outlets will operate as usual.

On CNY eve, all stores operate till 4 pm, except Penjuru store.

On Chinese New Year to the day after, 24 stores will remain open from 8 am – 6pm.

Giant CNY Opening Hours 2019

Meanwhile, at Giant, selected stores are extending their operating hours before Chinese New Year. All stores will be operating as usual during the Chinese New Year Holidays!

Cold Storage CNY Opening Hours 2019

Cold Storage stores close a little early on CNY eve (4 Feb). Most stores are open though, on the first 2 days of Chinese New Year.
