Excited for New Years Eve fireworks in Singapore 2018?

The Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2019 features a variety of exciting activities taking place all around the bay from early evening till past midnight, such as:

  • Light projection shows on key landmarks around the bay
  • Mediacorp’s Let’s Celebrate 2019 free-for-public countdown concert at The Promontory
  • Prudential Marina Bay Carnival at Bayfront Event Space
  • Food Truck Fest at the Marina Bay Sands Event Plaza
  • Performances at the Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay with Esplanade Presents Come Together.

There will also be activities extending into Civic District for everyone to enjoy.

Topping it all off, an awe-inspiring fireworks and lighting display set against the beautiful city skyline to ring in the New Year – a perfect opportunity for your very first IG post in 2019. #newyearnewme and remember to hashtag #marinabaysg and #mbsc2019.

To be sure that you get a great angle, here’s a list of the best spots to capture that picture-perfect fireworks shot, without breaking the bank.

1. One Fullerton

Where: 1 Fullerton Rd, Singapore 049213

The open space at One Fullerton offers a view of the countdown fireworks with the iconic Marina Bay Sands and the Singapore Flyer in the background. Take the opportunity to grab a drink at one of the many bars along One Fullerton while counting down towards a more fruitful and prosperous 2019. The coming year is already looking spectacular!

#NYEChallenge: Juxtapose yourself in front of the Merlion spouting water out your mouth with the Countdown fireworks going off in the background.

2. The Helix

Where: The pedestrian bridge linking Marina Centre to Marina South

Get your NYE #OOTD taken on the visually stunning Helix Bridge. Featuring a spiral of lights, the bridge has viewing pods for that perfect photo op, coupled with the spectacular countdown fireworks and lighting display as your photo background.

But don’t forget to head down early to get yourself a good spot!

3. Food Truck Fest @ Marina Bay Sands Event Plaza

Where: Centre of the waterfront Promenade at Marina Bay Sands

Attention foodies! You can now enjoy a delicious line-up of modern local food at the Countdown’s Food Truck Fest, while enjoying the multi-sensory firework display ushering in the New Year.

Eat your way into the New Year with food trucks and fireworks – it’s truly a foodie’s paradise!

4. Let’s Celebrate 2019 @ The Promontory

Kick-off the New Year by partying with Mediacorp artistes and acclaimed local acts such as Taufik Batisah, Gentle Bones, Joanna Dong and others! Hosted by Chua En Lai and Sonia Chew, Let’s Celebrate 2019 offers a breath-taking shot of the fireworks.

Just try not to get too star-struck.

5. Star Island Singapore Countdown Edition in conjunction with Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2019

This ticketed multi-sensory fireworks musical combines pyrotechnics and lights, 3D sound and performance acts. At the stroke of midnight, spectacular fireworks will bloom against the backdrop of Singapore’s city skyline, lighting up the whole of Marina Bay.
