Gather your makan kakis, here are the new restaurants and bars in Singapore to look out for

It sounds highly impossible but we can actually run out of places to eat in Singapore. Especially when we're looking for something out of the norm, like Mexican or Cantonese or maybe just a really atas Asian restaurant that happens to come with a bar. Yes, we have just the list for you, so go on, start gathering your makan kakis!
Beast & Butterflies

Beast & Butterflies

Its very cosy and beautiful interior will have you and your friends coming over for dinner multiple times. Beast & Butterflies serves up asian cuisine with a western twist such as the LaLa Bee Hoon which is the traditional local bee hoon but is served with a specialty peppery Gravy with White Clams. Traditional Chinese cuisine include Fragrant Sea which is a clear Seafood Bouillabaisse consisting or jasmine and osmanthus tea served with sweet crab broth. They are also known for their creative cocktails such as the Angel Wings, Asian Beauty and Beast Skully.

With their very catchy slogan: "Full of Good Food, Full of Good Luck", the Full of Luck Club boasts its very colourful and should we add, lucky, menu filled with Chinese delicacies including dim sum, claypot dishes and Chinese crafted beers. They also serve premium Chinese teas such as the Eight Treasure Tea which is a perfect blend of eight nourishing ingredients: red dates, Chinese wolf berries, dried longan fruit, Chrysanthemum flowers, Jasmine tea leaves, ginseng, liquorice and Rose buds. A must try on their menu? the Boss Chicken, which is the restaurant's signature spicy chicken stir-fry with numbing Sichuan peppercorns and dried chilli.

Burritos, nachos and tacos, anyone? With the recent influx of Mexican restaurants in Singapore, there's just one that you can expect popping up every other month. Mex out's menu consists of fresh and healthy Mexican cuisine. They include secret recipes and are very determined to transform the appetites of Singaporeans! A must try and very Insta-worthy item on their menu would be the grilled steak tacos. Served in your own choice of done-ness, this generous portion of tacos will have you coming back for more. They also cater for private events and parties as well!

The Peranakan

The Peranakan

Selling authentic Straits Chinese cuisine, The Peranakan is one of the few authentic Peranakan restaurants in Singapore and its very own Peranakan chef, Raymond Khoo prepares three generations of recipes handed down by his family. This restaurants serves the famous Tok Panjang, which is a generous Peranakan feast served at weddings and events. Their menu includes Buah Keluak, Sambal Timun, Bak wan Kepiting and more. The Peranakan's very homely interior will be sure to give you the perfect Peranakan dining experience.

UsQuBa

UsQuBa

Well, how about some Scottish food? UsQuBa, which derived from the Gaelic Usquebaugh, meaning Water of Life, or, whisky, serves quality Scottish dishes made from the highest quality Scottish produce, prepared with French technique, and will add an Asian twist. Their executive chef, Chef Guven, was interestingly appointed Demi Chef de Partie at ‘Claridge’s’ by Gordon Ramsey Holdings, a 1 star Michelin restaurant in London. Apart from Scottish delights, guests can expect a wide range of small batch artisanal gins and craft beers as well!

Wok°15

Wok°15

A new addition to ONE°15 Marina Club, Wok°15 is located along Sentosa Cove and serves up Chinese cuisine consisting of various Asian favourites at affordable prices. Apart from Chinese cuisine, expect Cantonese, roasted delicacies, wok-fried specialties and more. Their dim sum buffet is priced at $19 for kids $38 for adults and you can savour on these delicacies while enjoying the view. Their top sellers include their signature Chilli Crab dish that includes the Sri Lankan Crab, Beef Cubes Black Pepper and Sauteed Bamboo Clam.

Xiao Ya Tou

Xiao Ya Tou

Located in Duxton, this Asian restaurant kept its description on its Facebook page short and sweet: "Naughty Modern Asian Restaurant Bar" Xiao Ya tou, which means ‘little imp girl‘ in Chinese is serving modern asian cuisine with a hint of fusion in some of its dishes such as the Ayam Percik which is a grilled spring chicken with spiced coconut cream and grilled lime. This restaurant's interior is also decked with asian style furnishings and design. At night, Xiao Ya tou turns into a bar and serves cocktails with asian siders such as boas and dumplings.
