My little hero, a little stronger everyday

3 min read

There are too much stress in our daily life. As adult while we have the capacity and capability to react to those stresses, we might not be able to handling it well what’s more when it comes to our little ones. Embracing and empower our little one’s ability to faces with everyday changes and stresses is an important task from young. But how we do it ?

We can actually brings out the little hero in them via every task:

1.AcknowledgeEmotion is very powerful, sometimes it is beyond our control. We usually react in knee-jerk reflex like scolding them when they cry and threatened them when they are preoccupied with toys. It os not wrong but similar situation can actually be better manage. Acknowledgement is the key, empathize embrace with their emotion and let it flow. Sometimes, they get even more upset when you do this but it is okay as emotion need to flow before it can restore. I like to tell them I am aware that they are upset, unhappy, or frustrated, followed by ample of time to let them cool down. Then, I will moved one to explore their thought behind the action.

2.Empowered Making mistake is part of learning, however, today’s society mistake is no longer something widely acceptable and this desperately need to be corrected. Who doesn’t hope/wish that they are success and smooth sailing in their life, but the fact is that not everyone have the luxury to triump without facing obstacles. In fact, mistake makes a kid more resilient and more ready to face challenges in life. It can be start from simple task like school spelling. We can encourage them to work hard toward it but we do not measure their effort with our expectation. We provide them with the information about pros and cons and guide them to the decision that subsequently affect their action.

3.Embrace Great effort does not mean you will get great outcome, we will need to embrace with the uncertainty and deal the the ambiguity behinds. They might not know why they behaved in a particularly way, even if they knew they might not be able to express it. Reassure them that we are into this together and we will walked through this together. Let do this together and share our experiences along the way.

I am looking forward to the launch of the Marvel  X Mayer Collection by Mayer Singapore! It’s sleek and cool design will excite my/our little heroes. #AssembleYourStarkInspiredHome #MayerSingapore
