Develop music and language skills

We are all aware that music can benefit us in a number of ways. But did you know that it can have profound effects on your kids? According to U.S. researchers, music and language can shape a child’s sensory system thus it should be a staple in your children’s daily activities.

These experts said that playing musical instruments can help develop the speech and language skills of your little ones. When they hear music, they are better able to process speech even when there is so much noise around them. Also, music helps them better interpret the nuances in a language as conveyed by changes in a human voice.

Researchers said that music affects a youngster’s subcortical sensory circuitry – in other words, it helps develop a child’s reading and listening skills. So bring out those music CD’s or better yet brush up on your music skills and start playing the violin or piano for your kids.
