A man in Singapore has been charged for the murder of his wife who reportedly may also be a pregnant woman. According to a friend, the victim recently shared that she was expecting before being allegedly killed by her husband.
On Wednesday (13 January), the 33-year-old man was charged with murder by a field magistrate at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

David Brian Chow Kwok-Hun is alleged to have killed his wife, Ms Isabel Elizabeth Francis, at a residential unit in Ang Mo Kio Street 23.
The police said in a statement on Tuesday night (11 January) that they were alerted to a stabbing case at the flat at about 7.35am that day. When they arrived at the scene, the woman’s body was found lying motionless in the unit.
The 30-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, as per The Straits Times. Meanwhile, Chow was taken to the hospital with injuries.

What happened that day
A housewife who wanted to be known only as Ms Vivian told ST that she was awoken by a scream at around 7am on Tuesday. She did not, however, think much of it and instead went back to bed.
An hour later while sending her daughter to pre-school, Ms Vivan realised something was wrong when she noticed police cars downstairs. It was then that she found out that a neighbour had just been arrested.
While living in the flat above the second-story unit, Ms Vivian admits that she did not know the couple well.
“I’m still in shock, the scream is still ringing in my head,” she said.

ST also reached out to a part-time student at Singapore University of Social Sciences who had met with Ms Francis last year in January. They started the juris doctor graduate law degree course together.
“It seemed like she was at a good place in life, she was married and last year she got her place renovated and moved in,” said the woman who declines to be named.
She added, “She told me she was pregnant about two weeks back and should be expecting around the middle of the year. I was super happy for her.”
Ms Francis’ LinkedIn profile shows that she started a full-time job at Deliveroo as an assistant manager in brand campaigns and partnerships last October.
The Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority records said Chow is the director and chief executive of the security training centre Knowledge Tree Training Centre. He is also the director of EvolveTec that provides physical and cyber security services.
The Registry of Marriages records also showed that the couple got married in 2019, according to ST.
