Mum captures her own birth photos from her perspective
Though Lisa is a rookie to capturing a birth on camera, she's a seasoned vet when it comes to parenthood. She and her husband have a 9-year-old son together, and had been trying for years to conceive another child. Tragically, all efforts to conceive another child resulted in miscarriages and sadness.
After many discouraging years, Lisa and her husband decided to put an end to their efforts. However, they gave it one last try and, miraculously, Lisa became pregnant with their daughter Anora.
On the day of Anora's birth, Robinson-Ward figured she'd use her skills as a photographer to capture some of the most unique birth photos ever seen. She also believed that being in charge of the photos would help ease the pressure, pain, and tension associated with childbirth.
"I didn’t know if I’d be able to take photos or not," Robinson-Ward said in an interview with The Huffington Post. "I had my mind set on doing it, but I wasn’t sure I’d actually be able to pull it off."
The following images are part of her breathtaking collection of birth photos from her perspective accompanied by her own words that perfectly describe each unique photo.
