More children for mothers!

Sleepless nights, busy mornings and no night outs – all these are the mark of a mother with tons of kids to care for. Yes, having kids can be stressful and tiring. I know some mothers who have been tempted to just give up and walk out of their homes due to the pressures of motherhood. But don’t get me wrong, children are not all pain and burden. They can be a source of joy and happiness too. They can even invoke a feeling of security in mothers as well.

Telegraph UK reports that several studies show that women who have children are less likely to commit suicide as they have an increased sense of self-worth. When women give birth, they feel very happy and their self-esteem increase. So having children protects mothers against having suicide thoughts.

Apparently, the presence of children increases a mother’s sense of self-worth because she knows that she is needed. The responsibility of providing for her children far outweighs her need for taking the easy way out. So when you feel like giving up on your kids, just remember that life has been so much better with them around.

Were there times when we you were about to give up on your children? What made you do otherwise?
