This March, the State of Fun is bringing a whole lot of excitement for the entire family!
And you can do so without breaking the bank. Many of these activities are free and students with valid Singapore concession cards enjoy free entry to Sentosa via the Sentosa Express for the whole month.
School holidays are a good time for bonding with the kids as they take a break from school but it is also a great opportunity for your kids to learn from out-of-school knowledge. Sentosa is ready to give you and the kids exciting new ways to learn and most importantly, have fun doing so!
LEARN: Science, Entrepreneurship, and more
“PLAY-trepreneurs” at the Sentosa KidZ Flea
Sentosa KidZ Flea is a flea market by kids for kids! The international award-winning children’s programme is back for its 6th year! Kids who are participating in this year’s flea market will get a taste of what it is like to be a little boss (or a “PLAY-trepreneur”)!
The kids will learn the basics of managing a business, selling techniques and dealing with customers (other kids) in this live learning environment.
Mums, dads, and even older siblings/relatives can use this opportunity to spend quality time with the kids as they assist them in the running of their stalls.
Kids who visit the Flea will experience what it is like to be discerning shoppers too! Just don’t forget to set a spending allowance – it’s the perfect opportunity to impart lessons about managing their personal finances too.
The Flea will also teach your kids about philanthropy and positive empathy as the vendor kids are encouraged to donate part of their proceeds to the Autism Association Singapore.
The Flea will run from 11-18 March from 2pm-7pm at Beach Plaza.
Little science enthusiasts thoroughly enjoying the Newton Show
Another great learning experience at Sentosa in March is the Newton Show. This international science show lets kids bring real chemistry and physics experiments to life by taking part in the demonstrations.
So if they’re huge fans of Bill Nye the Science Guy, Jimmy Newton, or even Dexter’s Laboratory, this is for them!
If your child is a hands-on learner, you’ll be delighted to know that 30 minutes after the show, they can even try out their own experiments at MOSH! Café.
The Newton show will run on the 13, 15 and 17 March from 2.30pm-3pm and 19 March from 1.30pm – 2pm and 4pm – 4.30pm.
FUN: Go on a whirlwind adventure in Sentosa with pirate ship, mascots, and adorable creatures!
The young’uns will also find immense joy in meeting everyone’s favourite mascots like Moji the MOSH!cot, Vita the RightZKeeper from KidZania Singapore, Pororo and Petty, Tayo and Lani as well as Buddy and Tiny. See the schedule HERE.
Meet MOSH!
The kids will also be mesmerized by the immersive live shows of performers such as Explorer Joe, Mr. Lightning Fingers, and Peter Draw at the Palawan Pirate Ship.
Catch Explorer Joe on 18 March (12.30pm, 2.30pm)
Bump up those art skills with Peter Draw on 11 March (1.30pm, 430pm) and 12 March (12.30pm, 2.30pm)
Kids will surely love Mr. Lightning Fingers balloon-twisting antics on 14 & 16 March (1.30pm, 4.30pm)
Let the kids don their swimsuits to cool down from the summer heat (and have fun for hours) by heading to the Palawan Pirate Ship and enjoying the water features, which will be turned on till 6pm. Or better yet, frolick in the bubbles of the foam pool!
To burn off all the extra energy that the school holidays tend to bring, kids can also take part in puzzles and IQ games at Fun-S-Scapes or the Get-It-Right quiz.
GET FIT: Run, play, win!
Head over to Siloso Beach to take part in National Steps Challenge Season 2 – Fun in the Sun Challenge by Health Promotion Board (HPB).
