Look younger with lovemaking!

Lovemaking makes you look younger

In the mood for some sexy time but your partner is feeling lethargic and dreadfully dull? Jump start their lovemaking engine by whispering this in their ear, “Lots of lovemaking makes you look younger.” They will be up and running before you can even take your pants off.

Active sex life

According to the Daily Mail, older men and women with an active love life tend to look five to seven years younger than their actual age. Dr. David Weeks, former head of Psychology at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital, claims after extensive research that people of all ages benefit from healthy lovemaking.

Dr. Weeks spent a decade asking thousands of men and women of all ages about their love life. And he found out that those who looked younger had 50 per cent more sex.

One of the people he interviewed, a 59-year-old man whose looks belied his age, suggested, “My message is that lovemaking is good.”

Lovemaking goodness

What could be better than sex? Health from sex of course! Dr. Weeks asserted that pleasure derived from lovemaking is crucial in helping you look younger. The natural feel-good dope responsible for this rapture? —none other than sex releasing endorphins.

Endorphins act as natural painkillers. They ease anxiety and allow you to fall asleep better. Exercising in the guise of lovemaking improves blood circulation, which is beneficial for your heart and gives you a healthy glow. It also helps you burn fat and boosts your immune system.

Lovemaking is also a stress-reliever, and as everybody knows, stress is the most irksome mainspring of those revolting creases on your face and awful looking saggy eye bags. Don’t even get me started on hair loss.

But the list doesn’t just stop there. Besides endorphins, human growth hormones released during lovemaking makes you look younger because they maintain your skin’s elasticity, which also plays a part in easing those stress lines.

Keeping it alive

Dr. Weeks pointed out that the image of elderly people is stereotypically about pensions, walking with a limp and nap times. Elderly people should continue having healthy sex because it promotes a good quality of life.

He says, “Sexuality is definitely not the prerogative of younger people and nor should it be.”

  1. Change your mindset. Lovemaking is not simply about sex and as the word “lovemaking” suggests, it involves love, romance, adoration and endearment.
  2. Know what turns you on. Or, know what turns your partner on. Lubrication, sex toys, plenty of touch or foreplay help to spice things up.
  3. Masturbation. If sexual intercourse is not for the two of you, try masturbating each other, pleasuring each other.
  4. Healthy lifestyle. A healthy diet and a healthy lifestyle promote better performance.
  5. Do not hold back. A lot of times, sexual passion dissipates because you or your partner are worrying about other matters. Stop thinking too much and enjoy your moment with your beloved partner.
  6. Romance. Keep the romance alive. If you’ve realised that your relationship has been lacking romance, try to turn it up a notch. Start holding hands, caressing, stroking his or her back, kissing and gestures you used to do mindlessly when you were young.
  7. Keep it fresh. If sex becomes mundane, try to do things differently. Try surprising your partner with other positions, other ways of foreplay, but make sure you are comfortable as well.
