The year old Princess Charlotte finally made her much-awaited Buckingham Palace balcony debut last weekend.
The tiniest Royal, who her mum describes as “cute and feisty”, was accompanied by her big brother Prince George—who, at 3 years old, is a balcony pro.
Their proud parents, Prince William and Duchess Kate ended the morning’s festivities with the yearly celebration known as “Trooping the Colour”.

The tradition gathers the extended Windsor family to view the soldiers in their ceremonial attire as well as the accompanying magnificent fly-past by the Royal Air Force.
When the flypast began, Prince George, along with the rest of the family, looked skyward; the adorable royal shielded his eyes while his little sister grimaced, safely in her mum’s arms, as the planes zoomed past overhead.

Princess Charlotte’s debut was not the only cause for celebration. The event also topped off royal matriarch Queen Elizabeth’s 90th birthday. Prior to the celebration, the family gathered at St. Paul’s Cathedral for a thanksgiving service.
It was just last year when Prince George made his own balcony debut, waving to the crowds and soldiers below as his dad carried him in his arms.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Royal public appearance without people noticing the little Royals’ outfits. George donned an ensemble similar to what he wore during their first portraits last year. Charlotte looked even more adorable in a blush pink dress with a sweet little bow.
Let’s get to know the “cute and feisty” royal a bit better, shall we?
When she was born, her grandpa Prince Charles could barely contain his joy. “I really was hoping for a girl. She is beautiful. I was hoping for a granddaughter — someone to look after me when I am very old,” he said in a speech to Poundbury Cancer Institute in Dorset, England last year.
“She’s been a little joy of heaven. It’s fantastic having a lovely little family,” gushed her proud poppa Prince William in an interview a little after she was born.

Prince William also adorably admitted that Princess Charlotte is keeping them up at night. During a meeting with members of the England women’s soccer team, the Lionesses, team captain Steph Houghton observed that he is “really enjoying being a father and Princess Charlotte is actually keeping him up — and probably why his eyes are looking a little bit tired.” Adding that the sleep-deprived royal revealed that Prince George “never stops moving!”
Mum Kate obviously finds her little girl’s “feisty” side very endearing. But, she also revealed that she hopes her big brother can help “keep her in order”.
