If you are living in urban Singapore, there’s one thing that your kids are surely missing out on – trips to the countryside and interaction with farm animals. So how about you change that this year? Take your children to experience the rustic flavour of Singapore, and head out to Lim Chu Kang farm areas!
This place will give them a glimpse of farm life where they can learn where their food comes from and how animals live and are bred.
Not just this, your kids can also feed the animals and spend the entire day exploring the beautiful outdoors. This is a good time to also manage their screen time on gadgets.
In the island city, most of the animal farms are clustered in the northwest part of Singapore in the Lim Chu Kang countryside.
To note: Lim Chu Kang farm area has over 100 farms, from those producing dairy to those housing farm animals. But there aren’t any traditional ‘petting farms’ here.
So if you want to venture out with the kids to just relax, get some fresh air, and take a break from your laptops and daily stress, drive down to this area.

Hay Dairies has close to 800 goats of mixed breeds, and they are all treated like royalty!
That’s because every goat here chews on hay that is shipped straight from the US, as well as special feed brought in from Australia. No wonder Hay Dairies’ goat milk is so tasty!
Plan a trip early in the morning to catch milking of goats. You can also take a few bottles home by the end of the day.
