Siegfried Boerst, General Manager of LEGOLAND® Malaysia, and Philip Skitch, General Manager of the Thistle Johor Bahru, welcomed the Chinese New Year with the unveiling of a LEGOLAND Malaysia Dragon mascot made entirely of LEGO® called “Ollie the Dragon.” The Dragon was constructed by LEGOLAND model builders out of approximately 10,000 LEGO bricks and will live in the hotel lobby.
LEGOLAND Malaysia will also begin discussions for a possible collaboration with the Thistle Johor Bahru.
Philip Skitch said “Our hotel is very excited with the possibility of partnering with LEGOLAND Malaysia. We are looking forward to being able to offer preferential rates to park guests once the park opens in the later part of the year. Ollie the Dragon will remain in our reception to welcome guests until the end of the year when he will be relocated to the park.”
Siegfried Boerst said “We are looking forward to a fruitful working relationship with the Thistle Johor Bahru. This is a great start and we look forward to collaborating with more hotels in the months to come. LEGOLAND fans and enthusiasts will be glad to know that Ollie won’t be the only Dragon in Johor once the park opens and they can discover the Dragon Coaster in the LEGO Kingdom, which is one of our seven zones at the park! Gong Hei Fatt Choy from the whole team at LEGOLAND Malaysia.”
In late December LEGOLAND announced the park entry fees and began sales of the annual passes. The pre-opening annual passes are being sold at a special discounted price, with a validity that will take pass holders right into the entire year of 2013. These special prices are offered for a very limited period only, providing a great opportunity to give that perfect Chinese New Year gift.
Tickets are available online through AirAsia RedTix website at www.AirAsiaRedTix.com. Further ticketing details are available on the LEGOLAND Malaysia website at www.LEGOLAND.com.my.
